As the Ramzan Perunaal and Diwali is coming up in a gap of five days, Kerala film circuit is witnessing another classic showdown between the super stars. Mammootty's Pothen Vava will take on Mohanlal's Photographer, the next week on October 21, the Diwali Day.

The fans of both the superstars are excited on the releases on the same day as the trade also promises to be big on every star film clashes.

Last year Mammootty's mega hit Rajamanickyam opened on Ramzan day to take the biggest ever opening and Mammootty is all set to repeat the feat as he is in a sure hit film, with his one of the favorite directors.

At the moment, industry analysts say that Pothen Vava has an edge as it is distributed by Lal Creations, the number one distributors in Kerala who has always delivered hits after hits. The distribution department of the firm is also in a high with their recent super hit film Classmates, which is promising to become the biggest hit ever made in Malluwood. Pothen Vava will be coming up with nearly 52 prints including 10 in digital format for digitally equipped theatres.

Mohanlal is also having a dream run this year in the box office with six continuous hits. Photographer is being produced and distributed by Dream Team a new distribution concern of Howly Pottur. The film is being released in 45 centres in Kerala.
