Sunil aka Narain, a one-time assistant to cinematographer Rajeev Menon is presently shooting for director Lal Jose's Classmate.

Having made a name for himself in Tamil with Chithiram Pesuthadi directed by Mysskin, the actor says,'I wanted to begin on a strong note in Tamil and Mysskin's offer was like a dream come true. We vibe beautifully and the rehearsals were an exhilarating experience.'

Introduced by Adoor Gopalakrishnan in his Nizhalkuththu, Sunil shot to fame playing a tough cop in Jayaraj's Four the People.

Sunil is very selective about his projects — that's no big deal. 'It's not a complete no to commercial films. I like to try out formula stuff too,' he smiles.

His next Tamil film will be Pallikoodam with Thankar Bachan. 'I have a very interesting character, and the story is unusual,' he says.
