Mohanlal has agreed to play the lead in the next film directed by Renji Panikkar. This film will be the next production of Aashirvaad Cinemas after Rasathanthram.

Renji Panikkar, known for his scripts with firebrand heroes and explosive dialogues had created many super hits with Shaji Kailas. After creating so many hits for Suresh Gopi and Mammootty he turned director with Bharathchandran IPS, which also brought Suresh Gopi back into business.

The prologue is that Renji had earlier planned his debut film with Mohahlal, which didn't work out even after the completion of scripts and the announcement of shooting dates. And so, this is the last chance back into ACTION.
