Adbhudham, a 74 minute film, which was a result of the record breaking attempt of Jayaraj will hit hyte cinemas towards the end of march. This film loosely based on Terri Schiavo's right to die battle - was made in an astonishing schedule of 2 hours and 14 minutes.
In Adbhutham, Jayaraj -a two time national award winner, tries to capture the final moments of drama associated with the mercy killing of an indian born, US based playwright, suffering from cancer. The lead character played by Suresh Gopi has no dialogues all through the film.
This record attempt is under the scrutiny of Committee of Guiness book of World records. Instead of using simultaneous multicam setups for attempting the world record, S.Kumar the ace cameraman used two seperate cameras which moved from one setting to another.
As the scenes were planned and earmarked days back, each camera followed seperate lighting set ups .The continuous shooting even avoided the time spent for reloading film by loading alternate cameras at the time when the other was in operation. The film consists of 24 three minute shots and a few cutaways.
