The case of Padmapriya is a bit of a conundrum.
She is essentially a Tamil girl who made it big in Malayalam first.
Now like many Mallu girls, she is making a mark in Tamil. But Padmapriya makes it clear that Malayalam is her first reference.
She is happy that her Tamil film Thavamai Thavamirundu with Cheran is set for release.
Padmapriya who has a compact acting style is happy that she has an author-backed role. She says the film has a rural poetry ring to it.
Padmapriya, though not very comfortable with Malayalam language, says she will turn her back on Malluwood.
I would continue to concentrate on Malayalam films as they gave me a vital lifeline, she says with gratitude.
