Mohanlal will essay a character named John David in his upcoming Ranjith flick. Interestingly, Ranjith has created another character named David John previously in the movie 'Nasrani', which was played by Mammootty.

The Ranjith movie has been titled 'Loham'. Andrea Jeremiah plays the female lead in the movie. The shooting of the movie has begun at Kozhikode. The Ranjith-Mohanlal team up was last seen in 'Spirit'.
