It sounds interesting. Though Jayaram was a strong contender for the years state awards, it seems that the actor doesn't have any solid projects on hand. And it is also heard that post his recent serious films, Jayaram has turned selective and will only allot dates after hearing the subjects and determining the commercial chances of the film. The actor in the mean time has gone for an American trip and will be back only by the last week of May.

It may be also noted that after some successes in his comeback, his last half a dozen movies have been non starters at the Box Office. Though critically acclaimed, his 'Nadan' and 'Swapanam' failed to bring in audiences to theatres. While his other recent films like 'Onnum Mindathe', Salam Kashmir' to the latest 'Utsaha Committee' also failed to become hits. Once again, the critics notes that it is the poor role selection and regular stereotyped roles that is doing harm to the commercial prospects of him and his films.
