Directed by acclaimed director Blessy, Kalimannu is an upcoming movie which has Shweta Menon in the lead. The film as we hear, even before its released has created quite a stir regarding the content, as supposedly it was given a U/A. Sources say that the movie revolves around a women and her baby, to be clear it involves the relationship between a mother and her baby even before its birth.

He has also gone a step further and after getting the nod from Shweta’s husband, a shot of the actual birth was filmed. This has caused an uproar among various organizations on the footage and the damage it could do. However eminent film personalities have argued that, Blessy is an able director who understands cinema and people, also the censor board is comprised of women and high dignitaries, they would not have granted U/A if not for any objectionable content. Well, all said the movie is due to release by August, so we need to check out how that will go. Now some food for thought, if this movie is made in Tamil Nadu, will there be any protest?
