Actress Anjali who has already emerged as a name to look forward to with her performances in films like Angadi Theru, Engeyum Eppodhum, Vathikuchi and last week's Settai is said to be missing from yesterday morning after she lodged a complaint against her step mother. Earlier Anjali had alleged that she is being harassed by her step mother Bharathy Devi and director Kalanjiyam who introduced her to the movie industry. Anjali recently has told in an interview that she is being used as a ATM machine by her step mom, who has taken away all her earnings. Expecting a threat to her life she is not expecting to come back to Chennai for the time being .

Both Bharathi Devi and Kalanjiyam has denied the allegations, but doubts about her family’s hand in this missing is evident.

Anjali had debuted into Malayalam with the Jayasuriya movie ‘Payyans’ which didn’t do well at the Box Office. Much of her Tamil films had a decent run in the state, which has created a lot of fans for her in Kerala.
