If there ever is one Tamil comedian who is looked upon with awe in Andhra Pradesh, it is Santhanam and Santhanam alone. He is the most familiar Kollywood comedian here since, of course. Vadi Velu. His natural comic timing needs no description.

His performance in Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, soon to be released as OKOK in Telugu, was hailed to the skies by Bellamkonda Suresh. More than Hansika Motwani and her hero, Stalin, it is Santhanam who is the film's USP. Even Harris Jayaraj comes next.

After OKOK, Santhanam is likely to become even bigger. This is a logical extension of the familiarity and popularity he has gained because of the many Tamil-Telugu bilinguals. Santhanam is in no hurry to make the most of his rising status and growing stature.

It is to be seen if he is going to accept straight Telugu films in the coming days.
