After the celebrated success of 'Traffic' last year, many new films tried to repeat the magic by resorting to multiple stories. But much of them including 'City of God' and Bombay, March 12, failed to repeat the success that Traffic had attained.
But the technique finds new takers in many new generation films in the making, the latest being 'Friday'. The movie will tell the life stories of many people who arrive into a town on a Friday to mess up their life into confusing proportions.
Directed by newcomer Lijin Jose in the scripts of Najeem Koya the movie will have Fahd Fazil playing the role of an auto rickshaw driver. The movie will have music by Roby Thomas while Rex Vijayan is in charge of BGM. Carrying a tag of One day... many stories, the movie will have Ann Augustine and Manu playing the other important characters. The shoot for the movie expected to be on theatres by June is almost over.
