Thampan to wait for one more week

"Thiruvampady Thampaan", the new movie from Jayaram which was planned as as Vishu film has been postponed. The movie which had its initial promotions completed will now get to theatres only by the 27th of April, coinciding its release with that of Mohanlal biggie ‘Grandmaster’.

Directed by M. Padmakumar, the movie will have Jayaram playing the member of a wealthy household. Jagathy Sreekumar and Nedumudi Venu also comes up as other members of the big traditional family who decide to buy a tusker and in comes associated problems that at a time appears quite difficult to handle. Featuring Kannada star Haripriya as its heroine, the movie is scripted by S Sureshbabu.

Jayaram, meanwhile has started the shoot for his new movie with director Anil titled as 'Maanthrikan'.
