Early this month on February 2, Ananya of Journey fame got engaged to Thrissur based entrepreneur Anjaneyan. Yesterday (February 14) Ananya's parents filed a police complaint against Anjaneyan because the groom boy hoodwinked the actress by not telling the truth that he had already been married once.

On interrogation Anjaneyan agreed that he was married and that he filed for a divorce when the marriage turned bitter. His case is impending in a Kozhikode civil court. Anjaneyan is said to have entered wedlock in 2008 and filed for a divorce in 2009.

Regional Malayalam channels are working overtime and have it that Ananya was well aware of Anjaneyan's first marriage and is madly in love with this businessman, who is an ardent fan of hers. They also further express that Ananya is house arrested by her parents who do not want their daughter to meet Anjaneyan.

Ananya has rubbished these as baseless rumours but as the old adage goes. Ananya currently has five promising projects in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.
