After writing his name in the lists of greatest artists in the Mollywood history with his recent role in the National award winning movie 'Adaminte Makan Abu', Salimkumar is now heading towards Tamil cinema. The actor who is getting many good offers from Tamil has decided to make a debut there with a movie directed by Bharath Bala. Interestingly, Bharath Bala was also a member of the jury which awarded the actor with a National Award, last year.

Salim Kumar may also star in the new Tamil movie directed by S M Vasanth, which will be also on sets soon.

Though he leaped right now into the list of more serious actors who can do justice to any meaty roles, Salim Kumar still loves to play the comedy roles that made him popular. The actor's immediate release will be the one with Megastar Mammotty titled 'Venicile Vyapaary'. The movie will have him in an interesting character of the eighties. Directed by Shafi, who has given some of the best character roles in his career like that of 'Mayavi', 'Pulivaal Kalyanam' and 'Chocolate', Salimkumar is also excited about his new role in this movie, which will come out by the 16th of this month.
