His last film 'Force' managed to scrape through at the box office but for John Abraham, there is still a pain in heart as be truly believes that had the film been more aggressively promoted, it would have been a much bigger success than it eventually turned out to be.

Says a close associate of the actor, "'Force' stays on to be one of his most critically acclaimed as well as liked films since 'New York' and 'Dostana'. For some strange reasons the film wasn't promoted extensively and it is tough for John to forget that. Nevertheless he is quite excited about the prospects of his 'Desi Boyz' since he knows that quite some effort has been put into making the film widely visible for the audience. All that should have been done for the film has been done. There are no complains whatsoever."

No wonder, John too is happy to share his happiness about the promotion of 'Desi Boyz' and feels that the film has in it to open well and get appreciated by the audience.

"Yes, I am happy. Also, if someone comes to me and says that the film's look is being really noticed, I want to credit (director) Rohit (Dhawan) for that," says John, "He is a young guy and our sensibilities really matched. After working with him for a year, I can say that we are more like friends. There is a sense in the way he wanted to portray me as a hero; you know the kind with whom woman fall in love with and while guys want to emulate him. It would be great for audience too to see me in a quintessential 'masala' film; you would definitely have a smile on your face to see all us characters on screen."

Well John, we hope that is indeed true once the film hits the screens tomorrow.
