Director Panneerselvam is optimistic about the way his next film '18 Vayasu' has taken shape. Quite like his debut movie, the critically acclaimed 'Renigunta', this second venture of him too has Johnny, son of producer SS Chakravarthy, in the lead role.
"The film has to be shot for 10 more days after which we can go for post production. I chose to work with Johnny again since he is ready to take any risk for the sake of getting his act right. In 18 Vayasu, he has performed the role of a mentally challenged youngster who is in love," the director says.
Music of the movie, composed by Dinesh and Charles Bosco, will be released on Thursday on Star Music label. "There is a song dedicated to transgenders. Beautifully penned by Yugabharathi, the number Aanumilla...Pennumilla... was crooned by a transgender as well," Panneerselvam informs.
He adds: "18 Vayasu is a thriller with a difference. Newcomer Gayathri is the heroine and I am sure that she would go places. Chakravarthy sir is producing this film after a long gap and this will be a milestone in the graph of the reputed NIC Arts."
