National Award winner accused of Plagiarism

As the new movie 'Adaminte Makan Abu' and its makers is into big celebration following the big rewards in the state and national Awards, the movie seems to heading for big trouble as a serial director is accusing the makers for plagiarism. Abbas Kalathod, the director of some teleserials has come up with the accusation that Salim Ahamed, the director of the movie has lifted the story that he has used for his own short film 'Maruppacha' made eight years ago. Abbas is planning to movie for taking legal action against the film's producer and distributor.the makers of the movie are yet to react on the accusations.

Few days after a Kozhikode court has stayed the release of the movie, following a petition by the film's co-producer Ashraf Bedi, who has alleged that his name was omitted from the documents produced to the National Awards jury, though the film was a joint initiative of himself and director Salim Ahamed.

Meanwhile, it is also reported that Mammooty's production house Playhouse has expressed desire to release the movie through its distribution houses.
