In recent times, quite a few romcoms haven't really produced desirable results Though there are films belonging to this genre releasing practically every month, the ones which have actually managed to make some mark have been 'I Hate Luv Storys' and to some extent 'Anjaana Anjaani'. With 'Band Baaja Baaraat' being the newest offering in this genre, doesn't Anushka Sharma, the leading lady of the film, feel a tad worried about audience reception to this Yash Raj production?

"Yes, we are seeing romcom and love stories. However, tell me how many such stories have we actually seen which are more about the majority of youth of the country. If you ask me, Shruti and Bittoo are what forms the majority of our country. They come from middle class and their world is so unique and never shown before", says Anushka who has played a middle class girl in both her earlier outings - 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' and 'Badmaash Company'.

Now with 'Band Baaja Baaraat', she promises that there is something unique that would be presented on screen.

"The story telling is new, the dialogues are new, the relationship is so fresh. These are the kind of things that completely excited me", she says, "I was wowed, I couldn't believe that someone could come out with such a script."
