Late Director Bharathan's son Siddharth will try a remake of his father's classic ‘Nidra’. The original movie, a remarkable work from Bharathan, had Vijay Menon and Shanthikrishna in the lead roles. In the remake Siddharth will go for Reema Kallingal to do the female lead. He is also in talks with a Tamil actor to act as the hero in the new project. While Vinu Kiriyath will script the remake, Venugopal would handle the cinematography.

Siddharth who debuted as an actor in 'Nammal' had been an assistant to ace director Priyadharshan for long. He had also started a movie titled as 'Mithram' an year back, which had Asif Ali and Kalabhavan Mani in lead roles.
