The fourth season of the popular show kicked off on October 3 with Salman unveiling the 14 contestants, including Veena Malik, Pakistani model and ex-girlfriend of cricketer Mohammed Asif and Begum Nawazish Ali, the cross-dressing host of a popular chat show in Pakistan.
But the inclusion of Pakistani artistes has not gone down well with Sena and Raj Thackeray-led MNS, who have threatened to stall the run of the hit reality TV show.
"Come what may, we will not allow the show. Dont issue law and order (disruption) threats to us. Shiv Sena will disrupt the TV show," Thackeray today said in a statement.
The channel has sabotaged the sentiments of Indians by casting Pakistani actors, said Sanjay Raut, Sena spokesperson.
He further commented that the channel in its madness to get TRPs will not be ashamed to call people like Kasab and Afzal Guru in future. Adding that the party had taken serious note of the channels actions. We will see how this channel goes ahead with the programme, issuing a clear threat that the party will try and stop the show if needed.
The Sena has called it an act of sabotage against the entire nation.
The MNS has also come out in protest against the television channel. Party chief Raj Thackeray criticised the channel, saying that such shows should be stopped immediately.
The other contestants on the show include Abbas Kazmi, convicted terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab`s former lawyer, veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt`s son Rahul, Davinder Singh alias Bunty Chor and former dacoit Seema Parihar, who is facing several cases of murder.
