In 'Urumi', the new period film which is on the final stages of pre production, Prithviraj will appear as a fictitious character named Chiraycakal Kelu Nayanar.

Set in the 16th century, the character of Prithviraj is the one, who is the leader of a gang all set to kill Vaso Da Gama, the first European traveller who landed in Kerala in 1498. Kelu nayanar is scripted as a member of erstwhile princely state Kolathu Naadu.

Prithvi , who is for the first time giving life to a mythical character in a period film is thrilled to be in one such character which is associated with stories of heroism.

Penned by Sankar Ramakrishnan, this Santhosh Sivan movie is expected to go on floors at Malchet Ghat in Mahrashtra, immediately after the Onam season. Urumy is produced by Santosh Sivan and Prithviraj in association with Shaji Nateshan.
