The rumours are spreading far and wide that B Unnikrishnan's new movie under production named 'Thriller' is based on the infamous Paul murder case which hogged the headlines for more than three months for its very mysterious planning and execution. The murder was of Paul M Muthoot, the heir of famous Muthoot group, which was reported to have occurred in a state highway side in the night, done by a group of men who was tracking and following him for long.

The state police haven’t yet come out with a reasonable finding on the incident.

Anyhow, the director who has casted Prithviraj as the young investigative officer Niranjan IAS running after a similar case, hasn't yet clarified whether his movie is based on this incident. The movie will also have Lalu Alex, Jagathy, Saikumar and Siddique in key roles.
