Ganesh Venkatraman is making waves. The 'Unnaipol Oruvan' actor has been roped in to replace Suriya in 'Kandahar', the Major Ravi directed tri- lingual which has Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal in the lead.

The young actor will play the Big B's son in this movie, which is based on the hijacking of the Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999. And he claims it is his dream come true.

"I play Amitabhji’s son in ‘Kandahar’, who goes on to become a commando. I really had to pinch myself to believe the news. It’s a dream come true," Ganesh, who is awaiting the release of his Tamil venture 'Muriyadi', says.

Revealing a secret, the actor says, "I was stunned to know it was Mohanlal sir who recommended me for the role. My thanks to him. I immediately shared the joy with Prakash Raj and Radha Mohan, who gave me the ‘Abhiyum Naanum’ offer."
