This Friday is a rare Friday for the Tamil film industry and all you film buffs. Because four films are being released on a single day today, which we haven’t seen for long. And the significance is greater because none of the fiver can be called the so-called small film.

Of the five the most expected film of the week is the Tamil cowboy film ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’. Produced by Kalpathi. S. Agoram for AGS Entertainment ‘IKMS’ is a big budget action fantasy comedy adventure aimed at both family and children. The film has opened to a fabulous response.

‘IKMS’ is a Tamil cowboy film after say 36 years. Director Chimbudevan guarantees a family comedy like ‘Imsai Arasan 23-m Pulikesi’. ‘IKMS’ is a real multi-starrer too. It has Raghava Larencce with three leading ladies- Sandhya, Padmapriya and Lakshmi Rai to accompany him. The others in the cast are Sai Kumar as villain with Nasser in a crucial role along with M.S.Baskar, Manorama, Ramesh Kanna, Vaiyapuri, Mouli and Delhi Ganesh. So don’t fail to enjoy the horse-riding, gun-shooting with your family.

Another anticipated film this weekend is ‘Goripalayam’. It is produced by ‘Naadodigal’ producer Michael Rayappan and directed by ‘Mayandi Kudumbathar’ director Rasu Madhuravan. The film stars Vikranth, Harish, Ramakrishnan of ‘Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum’ fame, Manivannan's son Raghuvannan and Poongodi in lead roles.

The movie is about four young men who lost their sleep in the city that never sleeps. The songs by Sabesh Murali are already hits. A realistic Madurai film which is expected to hit big.

The laugh riot ‘Guru Sishyan’ is also releasing today after a few postponements. ‘Guru Sishyan’ is a minimum guarantee film with a cast which is cut out for real comedy. It stars the kings of ‘lollu’ Sathyaraj and Sunder. C. If that’s not enough you have Santhanam also to bring the roof down. Director Shakthi Chidmbaram guarantees great moments in ‘Guru Sishyan’. Expectations are high for this hilarious entertainer. A must watch this weekend.

The other film released today is ‘Kutti Pisasu’. As the name suggests this film is for the children. This Rama Narayanan films has superior graphics to entertain the small children. It may look like a local version Transformers but it is a story with a lot of sentiments too.

‘Kutti Pisasu’ stars Ramya Krishnan, Ramji, Sangeetha, Nasser, Kaveri and Riyaz Khan. But the child artiste Keethika will steal your hears. A typical Rama Narayanan entertainer using a kid and special effects. Remember his films with Baby Shamili in the 80s.
