The former Chief Minister of the coalition government of JDS-BJP H.D.Kumaraswamy son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda is playing the role of Chief Minister in a film ‘Shivakashi’.

He is appearing in a song sequence and a few scenes. Former CM Kumaraswamy also a well known producer of Kannada films, distributor and exhibitor is not the first time for a minister to appear on silvers screen. Former chief minister late Ramakrishna Krishna played prominent roles in ‘Marana Mridanga’ and ‘Praja Shakthi’.

Dhanush Combines’ Mahadevaiah produces ‘Shivakashi’ star Ajith of ‘Patre Love Padma’ as hero and Manasi as heroine. Produced by Mahadevaiah, directed by Ramprakash the film is in the making since one and half years.

The film is currently shooting at Karighatta in Mysore. Veenus Murthy is the cameraman and Gandharva scores the music for this film. Ananthnag, Lakshmi, Ajith, Yogish Veer, Prashanth, Abijith, Avinash, Bank Janardhan, Achyuth Rao, Krishna Radha Rukmini, Pallakki Radhakrishna, Balaraj, Ninasam Ashwath, Sunil Prathap, Malavalli Mahadevaswamy and others are in the huge supporting cast.
