After quite some time, the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram is once again becoming the backdrop of a number of movies. The shooting crew of many films that have been wandering around Palakkad and Ottappalam is planning to shift their locations to the south due to intense heat wave and sunburn stories that have affected northern Kerala.

Mohanlal's movie ‘Oru Naal Varum’ directed by Rajeevkumar is the first to start its shoot at the capital city, this season. The movie will get completed in a single schedule of around sixty days in and around Thiruvananthapuram. Suresh Gopi's T S Sureshbabu movie ‘Kanyakumari Express’ is also continuing with its shot at the capital city.

Another movie crew that was seen in the South is Kabir Rauther's movie ‘Inganeyum Oral’ which will be completed in a couple of weeks.
