We all know the Telugu version of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ by Karthi ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’, is doing well all over Andhra Pradesh and attempts are being made to dub Karthi’s first film ‘Paruthiveeran’ to Telugu to cash in on the actor’s growing popularity in the neighbouring state.

And now, buzz is that Karthi himself would dub for his character in the Telugu version of ‘Paruthiveeran’ titled ‘Palnati Veerudu’. “The actor knows a little bit of Telugu and is now learning the nuances of the language to perfect it.

Meanwhile, sources also say a couple of offers from ‘Telugu Desam’ for doing direct Telugu films have knocked at the doors of the actor. However, Karthi is not so keen to do Telugu films at this point of time.

Karthi’s next in Tamil, ‘Paiyaa’ has been postponed for a March release.

Going back to ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’, the film, according to reports, was released in 93 screens across Andhra and has grossed Rs 1.78 crore in its opening weekend (Feb 5 to 7), which is unusual for a dubbed film.
