Thrilled a lot is Chakri Toleti. And he has every reason to be in an excited state of mind, as the filmmaker’s maiden venture, ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ starring Kamal Haasan, is hitting the screens today.

“It is every filmmaker’s dream to direct Kamal sir. Working with him has become a reality for me. Every day is a learning experience as he is a master of all subjects. I am sure that the film will surely work with the audience,” he says with all hope.

Adds Chakri, who has acted with Kamal in two films (the little photogrpaher in ‘Salangai Oli’ and Dr Govind’s friend in the US in ‘Dasavatharam’), “The film is no doubt inspired by ‘A Wednesday’. But we have made many a change in the script to suit to Tamil audience.”

Interestingly, the movie is hitting screens in Andhra Pradesh as ‘Eenadu’. “The top cop character played by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in Tamil is by Venkatesh in Telugu. Both are top actors in their respective languages and working with them is a delight,” Chakri says.
