Mollywood industry had been in long suffering due to some films, which were all expected to spell wonders at the Box Office, but sadly turned out to become an array of flops. The first three months had some movies with good initial collections, but none of them translated to long runs. And now in its fourth month of the year and in the first filmy season, here comes the big relief. The top five movies of the week areÂ
1. Â2 Harihar Nagar - A befitting sequel to the super hit original, this will be first movie in the recent times which will become a bigger hit than the original. The youth and the family who were very big fans of the funny four protagonists, is lining up before the release centres to give an extra ordinary opening to the inmates of Harihar Nagar. Director Lal is on cloud nine with all accolades coming his way, for this laugh riot.
2. ÂSagar Alias Jacky Reloaded - Another sequel that turned out to be a dull proposition, the movie made great revenues from its first week. But failed to sustain it in the second week, with the collections falling down to 40 percent, mainly due to the fact that writing of the movie went for a toss in the second hour. The movie made in a big budget, will have to survive in theatres for another two weeks to make profits.
3. ÂIGÂ Â Suresh Gopi's cop flick with writer-director B Unnikrishnan made an average opening, but the total collections are not as entertaining as expected. The movie is making better business in A centres with good support from vacation audiences, but in lesser known centres the first week collections were weak.
4. ÂAyan - Suriya's latest action movie is an interesting watch. And with the good fan following of the star in the state, the movie opened to good business. The movie will bring in good revenues to the distributors.
5. ÂBanaras - The recent release for this Vishu ÂBanaras opened to average initials. The movie registered around 30-40 percent collections in the opening day. But with the good word of mouth, the movie may find chances to make a profit run.
