Superstar Upendra and five heroines Pooja Gandhi, Suman Ranganath, Nathanya, Saloni, Brinda starring 'Budhivantha' has completed 100 days screening in 25 plus theatres all over Karnataka. This entertainer with a message a musical hit film too has given new lease of life for Upendra the most popular actor of Kannada films.
According to calculations in Gandhinagar the film 'Budhivantha' produced by A.Mohan and S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu with screenplay and direction by Ramnath has earned more than Rs.15 crores in the box office. Upendra was expecting such mega hit ever since 'Raktha Kanneeru' that was released a few years ago.
Vijay Anthony's music is also the major attraction of the film 'Budhivantha'. On 9th January 2009 'Budhivantha' in the main theatre Narthaki will be replaced by Anekal Balaraj's 'Kempa' starring his son Santosh and Tanushka in the lead roles.
Meanwhile Upendra with Ramya and Parvathi Milton starring 'Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids' by national repute director S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu is set for release and another film of Upendra that is untitled that has the story, screenplay and dialogues from him is on the floor.
