‘Gulmohar' represent plights of landless people

Popular director Jayaraj said that the theme of his new film 'Gulmohar' is a representation of ongoing struggles for land in various parts of the world. He was talking to the viewers at the Meet the director’s programme in the 13th edition of IFFK.

The movie which was featured in the IFFK in teh section ‘Malayalam cinema today' had director Renjith in the central role. Mexican filmmaker Enrique Rivero, Italian director of the Sri Lankan competition film Machan Uberto Pasolini, director of Tamil film Muthal Muthal Muthal Vare K.S. Gomathan, documentary filmmaker Joshy Joseph of Songs, Colors and Markets, and Raja Menon, director of Hindi film Barah Ana were also present at the programme on Wednesday.

The delegates were much satisfied with the sixth day of the festival which featured films like Ulzhan, Machan, Bad Habits, Song of Sparrows, Farewell Gulasary and Saraband which earned great reviews from the viewers.
