Priyamani is totally ecstatic to be part of a Mani Ratnam film.

Buzz has it that she is playing a negative role in the film 'Ravana' that is being directed by Mani Ratnam. Priyamani's character is reportedly derived from Soorpanakha, a powerful character in the Ramayanam.

Though the actress refused to comment on that, she said that it actually is a meaty character with important scenes in the film. Moreover, the character might not require her to dab on any makeup at all.

'It should be a joy to work with Mani sir. He is a thorough professional. But then we haven't still decided on the look for the movie,' she says.

Speaking about her role in that film, she says, 'I believe my character is still in the making'.

'After 'Paruthi Veeran', I just didn't want to do another village centric role. However, I'd not say 'no' to one now," she says.
