Meera Jasmine, whose Kannada venture 'Ijjodu' has created waves thanks to her Devadasi role, says that she accepted the offer as she wanted to do at least one good film every year.

'I need that one role to keep me going till I get the next good one. Thank God, that wish has been fulfilled till date,' says the actress.

On the film, she says, 'The story is essentially incident driven and portraying the character Cheeni was definitely the biggest challenge that I faced'. Directed by M S Sathyu, 'Ijjodu' was shot in Sync sound, where Meera did spot dubbing and also learned classical dance.

She is slated to act opposite Vijayakanth for 'Mariyadhai', directed by Vikraman and Adhi Narayana alongside a newcomer.
