'Kuselan' opens in maximum centres

Superstar Rajinikanth's new movie 'Kuselan' opened in 81 centers in Kerala. The movie opened in three centers each in every metro including the capital city. 'Kuselan' is distributed in the state by Seven Arts International, who is also a co producer of the movie.
The all Indian distribution rights of the movie were grabbed by Pyramid Saimira, who acquired it at a whooping cost of 50 crores. Pyramid is distributing 1000 prints of the movie, all across the country.
'Kuselan', a remake of the Malayalam super hit 'Katha Parayumpol' has plenty of Malayalees associated with it. Apart from Seven Arts, the famous banner from Kerala, the movie is directed by P Vasu, who also happens to be a Malayalee. Keralite actresses Nayanthara and Mamtha also appear in important roles in this movie. The heroine of the movie is Meena who also did the same role in the original. Shafna and Revathy are in the roles of child artists, playing the daughters of the Barber played by Pasupathy. Chithra and Sujatha are the other Malayalee presence in the already hit audio tracks of the movie.
'Kuselan' is said to have been completed in a 35 crore budget of which 21 crores is rumored to be the remuneration of Rajinikanth .The actor is said to have bettered his pay by a crore from his last flick 'Sivaji' for which Rajni was paid twenty crores.
