Kamal's 'Dasavatharam' rules the Kerala box office even in its third weekend. The arrival of monsoon rains has slowed down the collections for all the films in almost all the centers. And this passing phenomenon will continue till the rains subside after a month. The top five in the list are
1. Dasavatharam- The movie which opened to bumper collections in the opening weekend in all the centers, now moves on with sixty-eighty percent collections in urban centers. The movie registers good collections in the weekends even in lesser known centers. Continuing in around forty nine centers, this is the only new release which generates any kind of talks about cinema, among the layman audience.
2. One Way Ticket - This Prithviraj starrer made a bumper opening, especially in the northern parts of the Kerala. But after the first weekend the collections have came down, as expected after the initial word of mouth. The movie will at the best become an average earner, as many big movies are poised to arrive in a fortnight.
3. Shakesphere MA Malayalam - Jayasuriya had a good go with this hilarious comedy which will celebrate fifty days next week. The movie continues in ten release centers, while the first change centers also contributes interesting collections.
4.Annan Thampi- All the big news that surrounded the movie during its release has now subsided as the movie is heading towards its hundred in less than ten centers. Though the distributors are not ready to disclose the actual figures of collections, the movie is expected to have collected around 13-14 crores from its ten weeks run.
5.'Mizhikal Sakshi'- After a not so bright opening weekend, the collections has settled down at 20-30 percent in almost all theaters, except the metros. The movie has been removed from half of its release centers, in its second week.
Innathe Chintha Vishayam, Magic Lamp and Positive are the other Malayalam movies that continue in a few releasing centers. Apart from these movies, a few Tamil releases Aayudham Seivom has made into theatres this week. Larencces 'Pandi', Jayam Ravi's 'Santhosh Subrahmaniam' and Thodakkam are the other Tamil movies that are running in a few centers.
