'Annan Thampi' - Mammootty's Vishu offering still maintains its audience pull, to remain in the top of the charts. The other small budgeted movies that were released a couple of weeks ago, starts to attract audiences in metro cities. The top five movies of the week are

1. 'Annan Thampi'- The movie which was released in 75 centres, will celebrate fifty days this week, in half the number of its release theatres. For those who never predicted a long run for the film, will be apparently surprised by the movie celebrating silver jubilee in more than thirty centres. The movie is rightly acknowledged as the biggest hit of recent times.

2. 'Shakesphere M A Malayalam'- This Jayasuriya - Kalabhavan Mani starrer has picked up from a weak first week. The movie is now moving over to become an average earner. Debutant directors, Shyju-Shaji has created a better first half with plenty of enjoyable laughs. A steamy tearjerker later half did ruin its potential, but the movie will end up as an earner.

3. 'Innathe Chinthavishayam' - The Mohanlal - Sathyan Anthikkad movie has already become a hit and is a profit maker. The movie didn't collect as expected, but will end the long drought of a Lal hit. ICV continues in select theaters in the major cities. The weekends registers good collections due to family audiences, in metroes.

4. 'Positive' - Director V K Prakash has almost found for the first time, a commercially saleable stuff in 'Positive'. The movie with good songs and visuals registers forty percent collections in its third week.

5. 'Pachamarathanalil' - This Sreenivasan starrer may end up as an average earner, but for its production costs. The movie continues with fifty percent collections in select centers.

Kalabhavan Mani's movie 'Aandavan' - which had a delayed release is a dud from the day two. The movie won't help in any way in boosting the audience friendly image of the actor. The audiences, on the other hand seems to have once again given thumbs down sign, to the action hero image of Mani.
