Gnana Rajasekaran, who has made films on the legendary personalities like Bharathiar and Periyar, is all set to make a film based on a love subject.

The IAS officer turned filmmaker made his foray into filmdom with ‘Mogamul’, based on distinguished writer Thi. Janakiraman’s renowned novel with the same title. He then followed up with biographical films on Tamil poet Bharathiar and revolutionary leader E.V.R. Periyar. Both received critical acclaim besides having a fair run in the theatres. All these films have established him as a realistic filmmaker, who never hesitates to experiment.

Post Periyar, he wants to make a film in a different genre. “A good filmmaker would succeed in any genre”, says the director. Though he has sought the call sheet of Sandhya for the film, he is yet to decide whether she would don the role of the heroine. Whether it would be a multi heroine subject is yet to be known. The other members of the cast and the vital members in the crew are yet to be decided.
