Ravi Teja and Anushka were shooting for a sequence in Rajahmundry on the banks of river Godavari this past weekend.

But their shooin turned into a tragedy as one of the stuntmen in the scene drowned, as he did not know swimming. Mahender was not the usual stuntment but came in to act as a dupe for Ravi Teja for the film being made by Suresh Productions.

But his very first attempt turned into a death call for him and his body was found a day later at the other end of Godavari. As per the scene, Anushka was supposed to have pushed Ravi Teja into the river.

Naturally, his dupe was pushed into the river actually, as is the norm. The unit is still to recover from the shock.

Uday Shanker, the film's director says the unit is in shock and the shooting will resume later. They have returned to Hyderabad, to mourn the death of the junior artiste.
