The Police uniform and Suresh Gopi share a special chemistry. Every year the star actor is forced to do two or three police characters, of which at least one will hit the chart tops. His righteous officer characters had made people asks “Why can't the real police personnel behave like Suresh Gopi? ''

These exaggerated expectations that every police character of the Star had made in the minds of the public, have already become a pressure building burden for actual police men to behave socially and wisely, before the people.

The year already saw Suresh Gopi opening in 'The Sound Of Boot' where he played the character of an S P. Even though the film didn't work out as expected, Suresh Gopi has already started working on his future screen police icons. The actor is presently in the sets of Nizar's ‘Bullet’ where he is to play another police officer, Paraushurama Bhattathiri, specialized in conducting probes, moving around in disguise.

And after ‘Bullet' Suresh Gopi will repeat the act of investigating, but here as a D G P in 'Ayutham'. Director MA Nishad who has directed films like ‘Pakal’ and ‘Nagaram’, mostly based on the current social issues, will call the shots for 'Ayudham'.

This storyline where the Star is D G P Rishikesh, tells the investigations on a criminal case conducted by a tough honest police officer, with the active support of the Chief Minister of the state.

Major portions of the film will be shot in Chennai, while a few other scenes and songs will be canned at Dubai. It will be a tougher job for Suresh Gopi and an interesting part for us to watch, how the star will bring out any notable differences in his regular police affairs.
