Director Bala, who is quite busy with the shooting of 'Naan Kadavul', somehow finds time to view the TV serial 'Santhanakkadu' that depicts the life of sandalwood smuggler Veerappan.

The serial is directed by V. Gouthaman, who directed Murali – Simran starrer 'Kanave Kalaiyaathey'. Since the cinema chances were playing hide and seek game with him, he shifted to small screen.

It is said that many leading directors in Kollywood are watching the serial regularly. Bala is one among them. He called up Gouthaman from Theni to congratulate him. He also requested the director to give him the DVD of the whole serial, as he could not get time to see the serial regularly.

Senior directors like Balu Mahendra and Mahendran too are watching the serial regularly and keep discussing with Gouthaman about his work.

Gouthaman is growing in confidence after such responses and eying for a comeback to big screen.
