Bharathan, the science fiction movie by Anildas was released in 30 centres all across the state. The film which has Biju Menon doing the central character after a long time also has Suresh Gopi in a prominent role.

The highlight according to the makers is the scripts by Madhumuttam, who is into the act after 14 years.

The film tells the story of a youth who has developed a special interest in discoveries in physical science. This phenomenal eccentricity exhibits only at times and at those times he become another human totally different in maneuvers and language, trying to sort out various scientific debacles and to invent master machines even from household utensils.

Geethu Mohandas is playing the female lead in the film. The film also features Jagathy, Jayakrishnan, Rajan P Dev, Kalpana and Sudheesh.

Madhumuttom shot into fame with the scripting of Manichithrathaazhu which won much accolades and was later remade in Kannada as Apthamithra and in Tamil as Chandramukhi- all the three becoming phenomenal successes of the decade.
