Director-turned-actor Venkat Prabhu is a happy man. He has received accolades for his maiden directorial venture Chennai 600028 from various quarters. 'Super Star' Rajnikanth, Ajith, Silambarasan, Vishal, veteran director K Balachander and Bharathiraja are among the few celebrities who heaped laurels on the work of Venkat Prabhu wielding the megaphone for Chennai 600028.

Venkat Prabhu says, “Rajnikanth was highly impressed after watching a special screening of the movie along with his family members recently. He has extended an invitation to meet him on 15 July”.

Venkat Prabhu says, “It is my wild dream to direct Rajnikanth. I hope he would give some advice on continuing my good work in the industry”.

Venkat Prabhu is also thrilled as he recently got a letter from no lesser person than K Balachander himself. The latter has appreciated Venkat Prabhu for his mature way of directing the movie.

Featuring all newcomers, Chennai 600028, produced by S P B Charan and J K Saravana has gone on to collect good revenue. Music by Yuvanshankar Raja is topping the audio charts.
