Movies set around the underworld dons always tasted success in Tamil cinema. Joining the long list of films that revolves around the underworld is Arjun's Marudhamalai.

Produced by Oscar Films and directed by Suraj, Marudhamalai is about the encounters between a don and a tough cop.

After a long gap, Arjun dons Khakhi in Marudhamalai.

Says Suraj,” After my debut venture Thalainagaram, I got this rare opportunity to direct a senior artiste like Arjun for a movie to be produced by Oscar Films. It is an action-packed hilarious entertainer. Arjun and Vadivelu have combined well to evoke laughter. Arjun has reduced his weight considerably to suit the lead role”.

Suraj is confident that the action sequences would be the major highlight of the movie.

He says,” Ali Ameen, who worked as stunt director in blockbuster Bollywood movie Dhoom 2 has been assigned to direct a prominent stunt sequence. So far it’s so good. Marudhamalai is shaping up well".
