Noted Tamil actress Lakshmi Rai has been approached to act opposite Mammootty.

The tall and lanky actress from Surat had acted opposite the likes of Parthiban and Vijayakanth in Tamil.

Recently she was urged to act opposite Mohanlal for a Malayalam movie, but she could not do it due to unforeseen circumstances. The big news is that she has been approached to play the second heroine in Mammootty's period film Pazhasi Raja.

Padhmapriya plays the female lead in the movie.
