Even though Navya has got no releases for this Vishu in Malayalam, her film with director-actor Cheran's Mayakkannadi has raised the highest expectations in the Tamil New Year. She plays the heroine to Cheran in the movie.

A thrilled Navya Nair says, “I am fortunate to have acted with a talented film personality like Cheran in two consecutive films. After completing Aadum Koothu. I was assigned to act with Cheran again for Mayakkannadi. I learnt a lot working with him”.

“After the release of movies like Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy and Amirtham, I was branded as an actress who can do only homely roles. Thanks to Cheran, I play a city girl in Mayakkannadi. I appear in trendy costumes and have more scope to perform”, she adds.

Buzz is that Navya has been urged to play Siddharth's heroine in her forthcoming Tamil venture.

Also she is acting in a Kannada movie and shooting for it would commence soon.
