Naan Avanillai rides big on five heroines

It was a glamorous evening at AVM Studios on Monday thanks to actresses Sneha, Malavika, Namitha, Keerthi Chawla and Jyothirmayi turned up together.

The actresses are coming together for the movie Naan Avanillai starring Jeevan in the lead role.

Directed by Selvah, the movie is a remake of yesteryear classic titled the same directed by K Balachander.

According to Selvah, “We have made necessary changes in the script to suit the contemporary audience. The movie was made by K Balachander in 1976 but the theme is still apt for today's society.”

All the actresses working without any ego and the movie had really shaped up well, he added.

Jeevan expressing his joy to play the role enacted by Gemini Ganesan in the original, said, “It is a different experience for him to be part of a movie with so many heroines. I am hopeful that the movie would be a cherished one to remember in my life.”

Bubbling with enthusiasm, Sneha, said, “It was comfortable working with this crew. We all share equal footage in the movie.”

Malavika and Namitha, endorsing her view, said, “The movie would set a new trend in the industry.”

The movie has musical score by Vijay Anthony and cinematography by U K Senthil Kumar.

Sneha plays a law college student, Namitha as a successful business woman, Malavika as a model, Keerthi Chawla as a Brahmin girl and Jyothirmayi as an orthodox Malayalee.

The movie produced by Japak will hit the screens on 20 April.
