Lal Jose, the gutsy director who has taken risks to create meaningful cinemas which were also commercial hits has started his new film Arabikatha in Dubai. The film with Sreenivasan in the lead role in Arabikatha also offers many surprises. The biggest one being the case of the heroine- a Chinese girl Chang-Chu-Min!

In the film Sreenivasan is playing an ex-communist known popularly as Cuba Mukundan. Backed by the powerful script of Iqbal Kuttipuram the film also has Indrajith and Jayasuriya playing the roles of comrade Anwar and Siddharthan.

The film based on the life of the NRK’s who settled in the Middle East for a living will dwell into the expectations and sufferings of the people. Cinematographed by Manoj Pillai, the film also introduces a new music director, Bijubal.

The cast also includes Samvrutha, Salimkumar, Augustine, Nedumudi Venu, Prasanth and Jagathi Sreekumar.

80 percent of Arabikatha will be shot in Dubai. The film is produced in the banner of Microcomes by Hussain, an NRI and is distributed by Sagar movies and Lal Jose's own distribution concern `Powertech Mutimedia`.
