February is indeed a fiesta for film-buffs. We had Deeppavali, Pachaikili Muthucharam and Lee releasing few days back and the collections have been steady for all the three films, in theatres across Tamil Nadu.

Now, we have more coming up and the big news is that there are three films lined up for release on the same day.

Yes, the long awaited Mozhi, Paruthi Veeran and Solli Adippen are gracing the theatres on February 23.

It is not just the number of films but also the interesting competition that arouses our curiosity. Particularly, the last film of Jyothika, Mozhi is pitted against her brother-in-law Karthi’s debut film Paruthi Veeran and this makes the competition unusual and interesting.

Mozhi portrays Jyothika in a challenging role and the film is expected to make it big for her brilliant portrayal as Archana, a mute woman.

Paruthi Veeran, on the other hand, comes from Ameer, who fuses intelligence and sharpness in his characterizations. Karthi is said to be absolutely convincing as the Paruthi Veeran and expectations for this film too is on the high.

Solli Adippen, on the other hand, has Vivek as the hero. Vivek, who had hitherto proven his mettle with his message oriented comedy tracks, dons the role of hero in this film and he is paired with Chaya Singh. For all you know, Vivek might simply walk away with the honours as this film is believed to be a laugh-riot!

Let’s see who emerges the winner in this race.
