A potentially interesting collision seems to have been avoided.

Sibiraj’s Lee and Sathyaraj’s Periyar seemed set for release at the same time.

Now, that would have been very difficult for Sathyaraj as he is the producer for Lee and the hero of the other.

But luckily now, it is all cleared. Lee will release this week while Periyar will release in March.

Meanwhile, Periyar film’s director Gnana Rajasekharan is a happy man, for the movie has been passed by the censors without a single cut.

The film has got a ‘U’ certificate. There were apprehensions that the film may contain elements hurting the Hindu sentiments. But the censor has found nothing of that sort.

The film has got Rs.95 lakh grant from the State government.

The film also stars Kushboo, Jyothirmayi and the camera is cranked by Thangar Bachan. Music is by Vidyasagar.
