That Prakash Raj is a wonderful performer is a well-known fact. He has donned many unforgettable characters which have in fact, remained unforgettable due to his versatility in performing them.

Now, we have good news for the fans of this brilliant actor. Prakash Raj will soon be playing the role of the ten headed Ravana in the epic film Ramayana, which, according to Bollywood sources, will be from Rajkumar Santoshi’s stable. Touted to be of superior technical standards, this film will be made at a budget of 130 crores.

The cast has almost been finalised for this epic film. Real life couple Ajay Devgan and Kajol will play Lord Rama and Seetha respectively. Ravishing actor Rekha will don the role of Kaikeyi, an important character in the Ramayana.

Rajkumar Santoshi, who is also the producer of this film, has given us many memorable films earlier viz, Damini, Andaz Apna Apna, Ghayal, Legend of Bhagat Singh, Chinagate, Lajja, just to name a few. Hence it is expected that this film will also make news for all the right reasons.

Knowing only too well that Prakash Raj injects life into the characters that he portrays, we cannot but agree that he is the apt choice for the role.

The pre-production work for this film is expected to start next month i.e. February.
